Consider the reasons why people visit Antarctica, despite the huge expense that comes with some options, such as those offered by the White Desert resort at Whichaway Camp. The Union Glacier tours are also tens of thousands of dollars.

Remember that all tourism in the continent is time-limited and weather-dependent, and this in some ways improves the chance of it being sustainable as the tourist season is so short.
